In Romans 6:1-11, St. Paul exhorts us to honor the new life given to us through Christ’s death. He proclaims, “We know that Christ, being raised form the dead, will never die again; death no longer has dominion over him. The death he died, he died to sin, once and for all; but the life he lives, he lives to God. So you also must consider yourselves dead to sin and alive to God in Christ Jesus.” (Romans 6:6-11) Through Christ’s death and resurrection we are offered newness of life.
