God’s Plan.
God uses human events, deeds and words to reveal himself to man. One way we can know God is by seeking to see his him through the events of salvation history. This trail will help your family walk through the key events in salvation history and revel in the beauty of the incarnation.
Faith Steps.
Discuss the timeline on pages 1984-1984 of The Catholic Children’s Bible. Create your own timeline as a family with important moments you each said “Yes to God.” (You can create interactive digital timelines on Padlet.)
Examine the painting on page 73 of the Family of Faith Children’s activity book. Explain what it means to say Mary is the “New Eve?” Describe what you learned from the painting.
Explain why the son of God became man? (Family of Faith parent book Activity 4 pg. 88, ccc 469; see also video “Why Doesn’t God Just Show Himself?”).
Explain the promises God keeps in giving us Christ. Explain how Christ saves you. (See video “Why did Jesus come?”).
Host a family movie night. Choose a movie that shows God’s plan for a specific person (See list of movie suggestions). Take turns explaining how God is at work in the lives of the characters.
