New Beginnings.

“Do you not know that all of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? We were buried therefore with him by baptism into death, so that as Christ was raised form the dead by the glory of the Father, we too might walk in newness of life.” (Romans 6:3-6).

Faith Steps.

  1. Read & discuss the Apostles Creed together (pg. 13 of the activity book).

a). Have your children circle the words or phrases they do not understand and explore these questions. Save unknown questions for your family guide.

b). Discuss the painting on pg. 107 in the Family of Faith activity book. You will find guiding questions on pg. 141 of the parent book.

  2. Read the essay on pg. 142 of the Family of Faith parent book or watch the video below “Jesus Christ’s Resurrection.” Have each family member explain how Christ’s resurrection gives you hope. (For younger children you may choose to read Luke 24:1-12 in the The Catholic Children’s Bible and review the questions on pg. 1644-1645 of this Bible.)

  3. Complete the “Salvation is a Process” activity (see pg. 145 of the Family of Faith parent book and pg. 108 of the activity book.

  4. Read Acts 1:6-11 in The Catholic Children’s Bible. As a family discuss pg. 1710-1711. Have older kids children read paragraphs 659-664 of the Catechism and then explain what it means to be seated at the Father’s right hand. (See the video Jesus’ Ascension for extra support).

  5. Read Mathew 25:31-46 in The Catholic Children’s Bible. After reviewing the questions on pg. 157 of the Family of Faith parent book choose a service project to complete as a family. For ideas click here.
